Pugh opts for Bournemouth

Despite interest from Leeds, former Burnley youth player Marc Pugh has signed for newly promoted League One club Bournemouth after turning down the offer of a new deal at Hereford. Pugh joined Hereford last summer from Shrewsbury on a one year deal, this after enjoying a successful loan with them during the 2008/09 season. He had a good season with Hereford, netting 13 goals in 46 appearances, and then manager Graham Turner had no hesitation in offering him a new deal although Turner admitted at the time that he thought the player would move on.Hereford then offered him an improved two year deal, but this too was rejected and the club then confirmed that he would move on.He's done that and signed for Bournemouth but there will be a fee involved because Pugh is aged just 23. That fee will have to be settled by a tribunal after his new club's offer was rejected by Hereford.
