Potters sink Clarets in friendly

Michael Tonge hit the winner as Stoke secured a 2-1 friendly win over Burnley at Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium on Saturday afternoon.[LNB] Stoke midfielders Glenn Whelan and Rory Delap were both replaced before the half-hour mark to give Tony Pulis some selection concerns in a drab first half.[LNB]New Clarets goalkeeper Lee Grant came on at half time but was soon picking the ball out of the net as Stoke took a 52nd-minute lead.[LNB]Liam Lawrence cut in from the right to cross for Tuncay to head into the net.[LNB]Burnley levelled through a Graham Alexander penalty after Robert Huth had fouled Chris Iwelumo but Tonge had the final word when he smashed home from 18 yards.
