Players ready to go out on loan

Kevin McDonald could be one of possibly three Burnley players ready to go out on loan next week as manager Brian Laws looks to get them some game time in readiness for any calls they get into our first team. McDonald was made available for loan recently but Laws admitted: "We've had one or two enquiries but nobody's stepped forward. There are one or two ore who need to get out on loan. We've got good back up and we need to keep them fit for anything that happens to the first eleven."The international break has put things on the back burner but I expect maybe some movement next week once this weekend is out of the way and clubs will look to bring in players. As we saw with our two central defenders you can't simulate game play and match fitness is a key. They do extra training but it's not enough.Speaking about McDonald, whose only first team action this season was as a substitute at Morecambe in the Carling Cup, Laws added: "As every player who's not in the side they want to play. He wants to play and he needs to be playing some competitive football so he's ready."It's down to Kevin. We all recognise what a talented player he is. He's got all the tools in the box. He just sometimes doesn't know the combination to get the tools out. It will click with him one day and he'll be a fabulous player."At the moment we are only seeing fragments of him where he can be absolutely outstanding but there are a lot of parts of his game he needs to improve on and he knows that. We've talked about that but the one thing he has is time on his side. He's a young player and if he gets it there's a player to be had there and we want him at Burnley Football Club. "
