Martin Paterson's two goal return to the side last Saturday at Norwich have earned him his first points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year for 2010/11. It was Pato's first start in the league since the home win against Preston and his two goals have won him both the man of the match vote and the player ratings convincingly. He polled no less than 65.2% of the man of the match vote with only second place Michael Duff, with 10.5% reaching double figures. It was Wade Elliott who claimed third place with a 4.4% share of the vote.Again he was a big winner in the player ratings with two different players behind him in the next point winning places. His rating was 7.83 out of 10 with Dean Marney and Tyrone Mears sharing second place, each with a rating of 7.00 out of 10.Paterson wins the maximum six points. There are two points for each of Michael Duff, Dean Marney and Tyrone Mears with Wade Elliott winning one point. The points have had little effect on the top of the table with Elliott, in fifth place, the highest placed player to win any points.Voting is currently underway for the man of the match from Tuesday's game against Doncaster. That vote concludes at the end of Friday and the Watford man of the match vote will start during Saturday evening.Clarets Mad Player of the Year Table41: Chris Eagles34: Jack Cork30: Andre Bikey25: Clarke Carlisle17: Wade Elliott13: Chris Iwelumo11: Brian Jensen9: Dean Marney8: Tyrone Mears6: Michael Duff, Lee Grant & Martin Paterson5: Jay Rodriguez3: Leon Cort2: Steven Thompson & Ross Wallace1: Graham Alexander & Danny Fox
