Paterson misses N Ireland clashes
The Clarets' 17-goal leading scorer had been called up by his country for the qualifiers at Windsor Park, against Poland on Saturday, March 28 and Slovenia on Wednesday, April 1.[LNB]However, he has been struggling with a hamstring strain and was substituted in Saturday's 2-1 victory at Plymouth, so will not now link up with Nigel Worthington's squad.[LNB]Defender Graham Alexander will join up with Scotland for the World Cup qualifiers away to the Netherlands on March 28 and at home to Iceland on 1st April.[LNB]On-loan Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams is in the Wales squad for their World Cup qualifiers at home to Finland and Germany, on March 28 and April 1 respectively.[LNB]And Kevin McDonald joins the Scottish U21 squad for their UEFA European U21 Championship Qualifying Matches against Albania on March 28 and Wednesday, April 1.[LNB][LNB]
