Paterson happy to lead the line

Paterson, 21, has proved a huge success since joining the Clarets last summer and his 18 goals have been key to their play-off bid.[LNB]The Northern Ireland international has at times been paired with Steve Thompson but says he is content to plough a lone furrow.[LNB]Paterson said: "I think for most of my career for some reason I've found myself up front on my own.[LNB]"Even at Scunthorpe last year I played 80% of the games one up front and through my youth career I played one up front. It's just a position that I'm probably best at."[LNB]Meanwhile, Burnley's youngsters lost 3-2 in a thrilling Lancashire FA Youth Cup final against Preston at Deepdale on Wednesday night.[LNB][LNB]
