Paterson doubt for Burnley

Burnley caretaker boss Stuart Gray has a near full-strength squad available for the visit of leaders QPR.

Northern Ireland striker Martin Paterson is doubtful with a thigh problem and midfielder Chris McCann remains absent as he recovers from a long-term knee injury. But Gray has no other worries as the Clarets bid to topple Neil Warnock's high-flying outfit at Turf Moor.

Burnley have revealed their search for a new manager is ongoing but that Gray will definitely remain in charge for this weekend's match.

Norwich manager Paul Lambert turned down the chance to succeed Brian Laws at Turf Moor and Watford's Malky Mackay and Bournemouth's Eddie Howe have also been linked with the post.

Laws left Burnley on December 29 following the club's dismal home defeat to Scunthorpe the day previously.
