Youngster Dean Overson has today joined Bradford City on a two-year contract at Bradford City after just over two years at Turf Moor following him getting a scholarship for the 2009/10 season. Dean, younger son of former Claret and current Centre of Excellence Manager Vince, broke his leg just at the start of that two year scholarship and because of his injuries had, with both James and Tommy Taylor, his scholarship extended beyond the two years. However, there wasn't going to be a professional deal  at the end of it. Tommy Taylor left the club some time ago but Dean has been looking to get a deal elsewhere. He played in Accrington's colours during pre-season but returned to Turf Moor and scored in our first Youth Alliance League game of the season against Morecambe. Last week he played in a trial game for Bradford City and today new manager Phil Parkinson has offered him this contract. Martin Dobson said: "Injury-wise he has been unlucky at this club but we are delighted he has got a two-year contract at Bradford with everything to play for. We wish him well." On completing the move, Dean said: "I'm over the moon that this opportunity has come up for me. I just want to grab it with both hands and see where I can take things here at Bradford. I'm really thrilled to be here and I am ready to push on. "I want to do the best I can here and that means trying to get into the first team. Whether that takes a long time or it doesn't take a long time, that is something I have just got to work on."
