One more ex-loan player was on the move
Yesterday I reported Brian Jensen's signing for Bury and Bradley Orr going to Blackpool on loan, but as the wait for news on Michael Kightly took us to the wire last night there was another former loan player who moved from Hull to Charlton.
It was some time past 10 o'clock when Charlton confirmed they had signed Cameron Stewart from Hull in a loan deal until 2nd January.
Stewart joined Burnley in a similar loan deal on the last day of the transfer window a year ago.
He went straight into the team for the next game, at home against Brighton, but it was one of only two starts for him, coupled with seven substitute appearances, the last of which came in the 4-0 defeat at Cardiff, before he returned to the KC Stadium at the start of 2013.
On his return to Hull he was involved in their FA Cup game and also made one short substitute appearance in a league draw against Peterborough before going out on loan again for a badge kissing exercise with Blackburn.
Again he struggled to make an impact and starting just three games for the Ewood Park club, which included the one against Burnley, and making four substitute appearances.
He played the first 55 minutes of Hull's Capital One Cup tie at Leyton Orient on Tuesday but that has been his only action this season and now he's gone to Charlton where he will hope to play more football than he's been able to in the last year.
