That ending came in April 1992 at Bootham Crescent, York, when a 2-1 win finally lifted us out of the Fourth Division and as its last ever champions.
For those fans of the time it really has become an iconic season, partly due to the club finally turning itself round and added to with the wonderful 'Burnley are Back' video and the clichéd words of Clive Tyldesley.
Now, there is going to be a chance to relive it all again alongside the reports of each game on Clarets Mad with the release of a new DVD, put together by Andrew Greaves, a local journalist and message board poster.
The DVD, entitled 'One Night In York' features the story of the season. It includes interviews from manager Jimmy Mullen, who had the best start of any Burnley manager, and five of his players Mike Conroy, John Deary, Roger Eli, Andy Farrell and John Francis and is narrated by actor and Burnley fan Richard Moore.
The DVD is priced at £12.99 and will be available in late November or early December but can be PRE-ORDERED now.
