Burnley manager Steve Cotterill admitted his side deserved nothing from Tuesday's Championship clash with Stoke City, the Clarets' first game at Turf Moor since before Christmas.
Cotterill's side remain in the bottom half of the table after the 1-0 defeat, and the former Stoke boss had no complaints about the result.
"We haven't done enough to win the game," he admitted.
"We sometimes played with too much patience and at other times with no patience at all.
"When you get a few moans and groans the players get frightened to touch the ball. They have to be tough mentally as well as physically.
"We started ring-rusty, our tempo was too slow and we didn't get them on the back foot.
"I thought Ricardo Fuller was the difference and that's why they won. Stoke deserved their win and Sidibe and Fuller were a handful. We haven't done enough to open them up.
"Some of our players need more football and it looks like Ade (Akinbiyi) spent 12 months in the gym and not running."
