No Turf Moor return for Grant
Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant has been constantly linked with a move to Burnley since Brian Laws became manager, but he's confirmed that he won't be leaving Hillsborough for a return to Turf Moor or to West Brom or Wigan. Whilst there have been links with both West Brom and Wigan it is Burnley who have supposedly been set to make an offer for the keeper who Laws took to Hillsborough from Derby in 2007.Laws confirmed in January that there was nothing in the speculation at the time but didn't rule out a move for his former goalkeeper who spent two months at Burnley on loan during the 2005/06 season and played one game keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Leicester.He was at Derby at the time, and had made his Derby debut against Burnley back in 2002 when he came on as a substitute for another ex-Burnley keeper Andy Oakes on a day when Robbie Blake probably turned in his first stunning performance in claret and blue.He left Derby for Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2007 on a Bosman and has played in all but two of their league games in the last three seasons.However, he has no intentions of leaving the club, be it for Burnley or anyone else and said yesterday: "I'm not leaving and I'm totally committed to Sheffield Wednesday."As far as I am concerned, I've still got two more seasons on my contract so until someone tells me otherwise that is what I will be concentrating on. I am fully focused on getting fit and ready to play a big part in a winning team next year. I'm concentrating on getting ready for pre-season training and leading the charge in League One."There will be no transfer requests or sulking from me. I will be getting on with the job at hand like anybody else and trying to put things right because I think as a squad we owe that to the supporters."
