No old pals' act for Eagles

Burnley winger Chris Eagles admits he will always have respect for former boss Owen Coyle, but was happy to dump him out of the Carling Cup. Eagles was a constant thorn in Bolton's side and played a major part in Wade Elliott's 44th-minute winner as he again vindicated his decision to sign a new contract with the Clarets in the summer. Eagles, brought to Turf Moor by Owen Coyle from Manchester United in July 2008, said: "I was having a bit of banter with Owen on the side and it was all good fun. We did our job and I wished them all the best in the league. "It's all part of the game. He did a lot for the club and brought me here and gave me the faith to play. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him and I will always have respect for him as I do with Sir Alex (Ferguson). "I wish him all the best, but I'm playing for Burnley and I want Burnley to win and it doesn't matter if I'm playing Owen or Sir Alex."
