No friendly at Bacup

Burnley fans were alerted last week to the news that a pre-season friendly had been arranged with Bacup Borough at their West View ground in Bacup. The local Rossendale paper were reporting it whilst Bacup Borough's official web site, commenting on their pre-season schedule, confirmed: "The most high profile game is against Burnley FC who have committed themselves to send a strong XI to Bacup for a pre-season friendly at a date soon to be arranged."Nothing had been said by Burnley and this remains the case. That is because Burnley Football Club, at this time, have no plans for a pre-season friendly against Bacup Borough Football Club.Burnley's pre-season schedule can be seen on the Clarets Mad Calendar which does not, as yet, include any game against Accrington. This game has been reported to be on Tuesday 27th July but will be added once confirmed by the club.
