No change at the top
It's as you were at the top of the league with QPR and Cardiff still in the automatic promotion positions, but things could have been somewhat different given the events at those two's games on Saturday. Leaders QPR recorded a second successive home 0-0 draw against Norwich City who themselves are third in the league. QPR haven't even conceded a goal at Loftus Road this season but came close to doing so when they conceded a penalty. Fortunately for the leaders Wes Hoolahan failed to convert.A win for Norwich would have been enough to see them go into the top two should Cardiff not win at home to bottom club Bristol City, a reasonably easy task on paper. That proved not to be the case when City went 2-0 up after just eight minutes. Cardiff got one back very quickly and two free kicks by Pete Whittingham, along with some suspect goalkeeping from former England goalkeeper David James, ensured a Cardiff win.That means Bristol City are still bottom and are in the relegation places with Leicester and Crystal Palace. Leicester drew 1-1 at home to Hull and former manager Nigel Pearson who admitted to being 'delighted' with the point.
