No Brass at Scunthorpe

04 December 2012 20:21
There's no Brass at Scunthorpe and that headline can be taken one of two ways as they dispensed with the services of Chris Brass today as a cost cutting measure.

Brass made the move to Scunthorpe from Bury along with Alan Knill and took up the same position at Glanford Park as he'd had at Gigg Lane, that of assistant manager.

However, Knill lost his job on the day Sean Dyche was appointed Burnley manager with Brian Laws returning. At the time it was said that the situation would be reviewed as to whether Brass would stay on.

Today, Scunthorpe revealed that he'd left the club to reduce their costs going forward but placed on record their appreciation for the hard work he'd put in during his time with the club.
