It's good news for one former Claret, Wigan's Mike Pollitt, but not so good news for another in John Mullin who has been with Accrington Stanley for the last two seasons. John Mullin - released by AccringtonGoalkeeper Pollitt had a loan spell at Burnley during the 2005/06 season. It might have worked out differently for him had he not been recalled by Wigan during the loan and he could have signed permanently for the Clarets. He has remained at Wigan though and this week signed a new one year deal with the Latics at the age of 38. He made just four Premier League appearances last season, including two as a substitute. His last appearance was in their 8-0 defeat at Chelsea as the London club clinched the title. For John Mullin, his two year stay at Accrington is at an end when he was released by manager John Coleman. Now aged 34, John has struggled with injury and has featured just three times for Stanley during the season.
