New deal for MacDonald

Alex MacDonald, the last of the players remaining out of contract, has penned a new deal at Turf Moor.

Alex, who won his first professional deal four years ago having already made a first team debut in a 3-3 home draw against Cardiff, ended last season on loan at Plymouth.

Eddie Howe offered him a new deal at the end of last season and today he's committed himself to Burnley for another season. Howe only recently said that Alex could benefit from a further period out on loan, so it is a matter now of watch this space to see whether he plays his football again on loan this season.
