Moore set for Accrington

Former Claret Ian Thomas-Moore has been without a club since his contract at Rotherham United was terminated by mutual consent but this morning he is set to join training at Accrington Stanley in the hope of winning a deal. Moore was Burnley's first million point signing when he arrived at Turf Moor from Stockport County in November 2000 and went on to play over 200 games for the Clarets, scoring exactly 50 goals. He left for Leeds for a knock down fee of £50,000 in March 2005 and since has also played for Hartlepool, his first club Tranmere and Rotherham. With the last two of those clubs he signed for his dad Ronnie Moore. The move to Rotherham was just last January but his dad was sacked soon after and in June he and the club came to an agreement and he's been without a club since. Yesterday, he confirmed that he'd be joining training at Stanley today, but also confirmed that, for now, he'd just been invited for training. Now 34, he started his career at Tranmere and also enjoyed spells with Nottingham Forest and Stockport as well as loans with Bradford City and West Ham, before joining the Clarets. He's now played over 650 career games scoring over 140 goals.
