Middlesbrough keen on Guerrero

Brian Laws last week confirmed that Ecuadorian winger Fernando Guerrero was not part of his plans and now he could be on his way to Middlesbrough for the rest of the season. Clarets' boss Laws said last Friday: "Fernando came here with high expectations, but we have come to the decision that he is not going to get into our side."We have got a big squad here and if we are going to make these decisions let's start making them and we have to move people around. He's a player that needs to move on and see if there is anything out there that suits him better."He's probably a bit disappointed, as everybody is, that he has not made an impact within the football club. But we have to concentrate on those that will affect the team. We have got to give them every ounce of our coaching ability and mentality and those that are not getting in the team say it's time to move on."It's not a fall out, it's purely a football decision. It won't be the first and it won't be the last. We have got a big squad and that's the nature of the beast. We have to make decisions for the right reasons for the football club."Five days on and it looks as though a loan move to Middlesbrough could be a possibility but that would require permission from his club in Ecuador, Independiente del Valle. It is expected that his time at Burnley will come to an end in the next week.
