Merry Christmas from Clarets Mad
Clarets Mad is enjoying its eleventh Christmas, my tenth as editor, and as always I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. As well as being a family time over the festive period it is always a time when we remember those we have lost and those who are having a difficult time. This year in particular I'm sure you would all like to have a thought for the families of former Clarets Ralph Coates and Gary Parkinson.As we all know, Ralph passed away just a week ago whilst Gary is fighting back from a very bad stroke earlier in the year. Both families will need as much support as they can get during Christmas.Sunday will see us back in action at Barnsley (why Barnsley again on Boxing Day?) and let's hope we can kick off the festive season with a win that would, at Oakwell, be a massive surprise.My best wishes to all of you.
