Mears eyes Premier League survival

urnley defender Tyrone Mears is desperate to avoid a second Premier League relegation in three seasons with two different teams.[LNB] The right-back was a member of the Derby side which almost sank without trace in the top-flight campaign of 2007/8 and he finds himself in another scrap for survival at Turf Moor.[LNB]However, Mears believes Burnley are better equipped than the Rams were and is confident they can beat the odds to stay up.[LNB]"I had a bit of a nightmare with Derby. It's hard for promoted teams to come up and compete, you always find it difficult," he said.[LNB]"We were a bad team, but here I think the bonding is still there, the lads are still close. I've seen it when times get tough and players turn on each other - that's not happened here.[LNB]"Everyone's stuck together and we're still digging in and hopefully that can help us."[LNB]
