McIlroy new Clarets president
urnley have named former player Jimmy McIlroy as their new club president.[LNB] The 79-year-old, who spent 13 years at Turf Moor between 1950 and 1963, has taken on the honorary role and will succeed David Daven, who died in 2007.[LNB]McIlroy was a member of the side which won the 1959/60 First Division title and also played in the 1962 FA Cup final and was recently awarded an MBE.
