McCormack in Burnley link

Burnley have been linked with a loan move for Cardiff's Ross McCormack, but should there be anything in it we would be in a chase with Derby and Leeds as well as Hull and Ipswich who have previously been rumoured to want the Scottish international. Apparently McCormack is now surplus to requirements at the Welsh club after they signed Craig Bellamy yesterday on a season long loan, presumably using some of the money they owe Motherwell to pay for him. That leaves McCormack, who has been out of favour and who recently looked set for a move to Ipswich, available for loan. There had already bee speculation that Hull would be interested by now Derby and Leeds have joined any chase for him as well, according to some sources, as Burnley.McCormack, who celebrates his 24th birthday today, signed for Cardiff two summers ago from Motherwell and had a sensational first season at Ninian Park, scoring no less than 21 league goals including two in their 3-1 win over us at Easter 2009, our last Championship defeat.Last season, having missed two months of the season through injury he came back to play mainly in a wide position. This season he's made three substitute appearances, scoring twice in Cardiff's Carling Cup win against Burton Albion.
