Burnley are set to offer midfielder Chris McCann a new contract. The 22-year-old`s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season and manager Brian Laws is keen to tie him down to Turf Moor. Laws said: "Once we get this pre-season underway that is one of the first things we will be doing and Chris knows that. "I have spoken to Chris about it, even at the end of last season, and told him that we would be addressing his contract situation because we want him here for the long term. "He is a great asset to this football club so we are not going to mess around. "We are going to get into that as quickly as we can."
