McCann on the way back

14 February 2011 10:14
It seems a long time since midfielder Chris McCann was fit and playing in our first team. It was September 2009 when he sustained a serious knee injury in the 3-1 home win against Sunderland. He returned for a few minutes Premier League football in January last year and then again in pre-season last summer, but has since had surgery on his cruciate ligament injury.Chris has, more recently, had other problems which surfaced as he continued to suffer migraines and that has led to fluid being removed in an operation on his head. Burnley Football Club initially confirmed they would not comment but yesterday, after Eddie Howe had referred to it at Clarets Mad's Howe Do, they issued a statement to report that the procedure had been successful. They also confirmed that he's now just two weeks away from full training and that could mean a return to action for him before the end of the season.Clarets Mad send their best wishes to Chris and are delighted with the news that he's in full health and close to resuming full training.
