McCann injury not serious

Burnley boss Brian Laws has insisted that there is no cause for concern after Chris McCann was substituted in Tuesday's 5-0 friendly win over Gombak United in Singapore. The Irish midfielder took a blow to the knee and was taken off after half an hour, but Laws confirmed that the move was merely a precaution. "He has had a clash of knees and just numbed the side of his knee a little bit," the manager told Burnley's official website. "It was a precaution to take him off because he could have come back on."
