Burnley midfielder Chris McCann is hoping to get the green light to resume training next month after returning to light training following knee surgery. The Clarets midfielder has not featured this term after breaking down in Singapore in pre-season. Surgery followed on the knee he first injured against Sunderland at Turf Moor in September 2009 - a setback that ruled him out of much of the club`s Premier League campaign. However, he told Clarets Player: "I've been slowly getting the leg moving again in the gym, and doing a lot of work with Ally (Beattie) and Luke (Bussey) in the physio room, squatting and lunging and just trying to get the knee moving again. "Things are coming on quite well and the rehab is well underway. "It's just great to get back in among the lads and to see them, getting the atmosphere and getting the leg going again makes me more eager to get back."
