Marney has just returned to the side recently and these were his first home starts in over three months, and he's more than justified his recall with two outstanding performances.
He narrowly won the man of the match vote in the Doncaster game but was a resounding winner in the Hull win, polling 43.7% of the vote. Martin Paterson, scorer of the only goal, took second place with 17.0% and a 13.0% share of the vote was enough to give David Edgar third place.
Marney was again at the top of the player ratings. He won it this time with a rating of 7.95 out of 10 and that was ahead of the two central defenders with Edgar in second place and Ben Mee third with ratings of 7.86 and 7.48 out of ten respectively.
The result means Marney wins six points in the Clarets Mad Player of the Year Table. There are three points for Edgar, two for Paterson and one for Mee.
From nowhere Marney is now in the top ten with Edgar pushing further up the table and now in sixth place having gone above Ross Wallace.
The man of the match vote for the Leeds game is currently in progress and will run until the end of Friday.
