Hull City midfielder Dean Marney has today joined Burnley to become Brian Laws' first summer signing ahead of the 2010/11 season. Dean Marney becomes Brian Laws' first summer signingThe 26-year-old midfielder joins after four years at Hull City for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £500,000, and has committed himself to the Clarets for the next three seasons.On completing the move he said: "I was getting a bit stale at Hull and needed a fresh start and I am really looking forward to getting Burnley back in the Premier League."That's why I've come. Burnley is a club that wants to be back in the Premier League and I want to be back along with everyone else, and I'm sure with the squad we have we can do it."Everyone wants to play there. It's regarded as the best league in the world so I definitely want to get back and I definitely feel I can do it with Burnley."I am looking forward to the challenge and I can't wait to get going. I just want to get back to enjoying my football. "Midfield is an area we wanted to strengthen and for a young age he has got a lot of experience."He's tasted promotion with Hull and played for two years in the Premier League so he knows what's required.
