Marney has ligament problem

Dean Marney was ruled out of today's win against Derby County at Pride Park because of an injury sustained in the win over Middlesbrough on Tuesday. He failed to recover in time after being forced off late in the game and Eddie Howe said after today's game: "Dean has a slight problem with his medial ligament again, the same one he did recently."It was a tackle on Tuesday and he just felt it again, so we're not sure how long he is going to be out for. We are going to miss him, but Chris McCann came in and did ever so well.Marney suffered the injury initially in the home draw against Coventry last month. He was substituted in that game five minutes before half time and missed the fixture at Bristol City four days later.Because of the international break there were no games the following week and he was ready to resume against Ipswich having missed just the one game.Hopefully he'll be available to play a part before the end of this season.
