Lynch and Kudiersky train with Accrington

The Burnley players were reporting back today as pre-season training gets underway ahead of the 2011/12 season, and it was the same for two former Clarets who were doing just the same a few miles away. Central defenders Chris Lynch (pictured) and Nik Kudiersky were both released at the end of last season and Accrington boss John Coleman has taken them both on trial as they look to find themselves new clubs. Both were involved today as the Accrington players got pre-season underway with Coleman having brought in a number of trialists as he looks to get his squad together for the new season. Both players came through the youth team together at Burnley before earning professional deals at the end of the 2008/09 season. Unfortunately, both missed a great deal of the following season because of knee injuries that required surgery. They were back playing last season but weren't able to win a third professional year at Burnley. There is no news yet on either Michael King or Kevin McDonald, also released, whilst Chris Anderson is just regaining fitness following the foot injury he sustained in January.
