Central defender Kevin Long has today joined Milton Keynes Franchise with a view to a loan deal, but could yet instead opt for a move to Carlisle. Irishman Long was signed from Cork City in January but has failed to break into the first team squad. He has now joined up with MK Franchise and is playing for them today in a pre-season game against St. Neots. He's also expected to feature for Carlisle during the build up and following this is likely to join one of the two clubs on loan to get some first team football.Laws said: "This is an ideal opportunity to get Kevin some first team experience and MK are going to have a good look at him."Carlisle will also be having a look and hopefully we can get Kevin sorted out with a loan deal that will benefit everyone."
