Loan Watch - Nothing going on

24 October 2010 09:13
Last week we reported on the experiences of the three players who had gone on loan to Scunthorpe, Stockport and Accrington and of their mixed fortunes. Injury continues to rule Kevin McDonald out at ScunthorpeWes Fletcher had an excellent debut for Stockport as they recorded their first win in months while Kevin Long was sent off early in Accrington's game against Rotherham. For Kevin McDonald, it was a matter of waiting as he was ruled out for Scunthorpe with a back injury but was expected to be fit for their game last Tuesday at Preston. This week, however, there is nothing whatsoever to report with none of them playing. We knew Long would be out as he started his suspension, but there wasn't good news for the other two either.Fletcher was left out at the last minute for Stockport at Lincoln for what was described as a niggle but McDonald was ruled out again as Scunthorpe travelled to Watford and won 2-0 and they have now confirmed he's returned to Burnley.Scunthorpe confirmed that he would be able to play for them if he regains fitness during the remaining three weeks of his loan.
