There are now four Burnley players out on loan and Saturday proved to be a really good one for Wes Fletcher and Kevin McDonald who are currently playing their football with Stockport and Scunthorpe. Wes Fletcher - staying at Stockport for another monthFletcher scored his first goal for Scunthorpe just a quarter of an hour into their tough game at Bury. It was an outstanding finish by the teenager in his fifth game for Stockport. He's impressed manager Paul Simpson who has had positive things to say about him since his debut and today they have been able to extend that loan for another month. It will give Wes more opportunity to play at first team level and at a club where he's getting starts under his belt.It could be the same for Kevin McDonald too. His month at Scunthorpe has been blighted by injury and Saturday was the first time he was fit enough to start. Manager Ian Baraclough was pleased with his performance and said he thought he and Michael O'Connor imposed themselves in the midfield against league leaders Cardiff. "They did really well against two tough opponents," he said.Baraclough would also like to keep him at Glanford Park for longer. "I'd like to extend his loan," he added. "He's got good qualities and if fully fit will be a fantastic player. I will speak to Kevin and Brian Laws. He knows he has a chance of playing games here while he might not at Burnley."I'll see what Brian says but hopefully we can keep him for another month.Kevin Long was also in the Accrington side that drew 1-1 at Southend. He's put that early red card behind him now and has played three games during November.Richard Eckersley was added to the players out on loan last Friday when he joined Bradford City. Just a day later he was an unused sub for them at Wycombe.
