Levein calls up Fletcher

New Scotland boss Craig Levein has named his first Scotland squad with Burnley striker Steven Fletcher one of four strikers included. The Scots play the Czech Republic at Hampden Park next week on Wednesday 3rd March in a friendly international with the game being shown live on Sky.With Graham Alexander and Steven Caldwell both unavailable due to injury, Fletcher is the only Burnley player in a 24 man squad as Levein, the former Leicester boss, gets his international management underway.He'll select his team from: Neil Alexander (Rangers), Craig Gordon (Sunderland), David Marshall (Cardiff), Alan Hutton (Sunderland), Christophe Berra (Wolves), Gary Caldwell (Wigan), Paul Dixon (Dundee United), Garry Kenneth (Dundee United), Lee Wallace (Hearts), Andy Webster (Dundee United), Steven Whittaker (Rangers), Charlie Adam (Blackpool), Scott Brown (Celtic), Graham Dorrans (West Brom), Darren Fletcher (Manchester United), Paul Hartley (Bristol City), Lee McCulloch (Rangers), James McFadden (Birmingham), Barry Robson (Middlesbrough), Kevin Thomson (Rangers), Kris Boyd (Rangers), Steven Fletcher (Burnley), Chris Iwelumo (Bristol City), Kenny Miller (Rangers).A day earlier the Scotland Under-21s play Azerbaijan in a UEFA Under-21 qualifying game at The Falkirk Stadium. Kevin McDonald is in the squad along with Brian Easton who has made five appearances for Hamilton since rejoining them on loan in January.Northern Ireland have a friendly next week, against Albania in Tirana, but Martin Paterson, despite his return to fitness, has not been included in Nigel Worthington's squad.
