League Team Place For McCann

It's been a good week for Chris McCann. He's captained Burnley to three successive wins; he's scored three goals in the last two of those games and his performance at West Ham has also earned him a place in the Football League Team of the Week.

Burnley provided the result of the day in the Championship with the 2-1 win at the Boleyn Ground against West Ham. We had to come from behind to win it and it was McCann who headed us level just five minutes after Kevin Nolan had scored for the Hammers.

It was that goal that signalled the turn round in the game and that, along with his general performance, is why he's been selected. He's certainly a player who has been very much in form in these recent games and that's been recognised by his place in this week's Championship team.

This week's team is made up of players from just seven clubs. Both Brighton and Barnsley have two players selected whilst Leeds have three played named in the team.

That team is: Casper Ankergren (Brighton), Kevin McNaughton (Cardiff), Gordon Greer (Brighton), Tom Lees (Leeds), Danny Pugh (Leeds), Robert Snodgrass (Leeds), Chris McCann (Burnley), Jacob Butterfield (Barnsley), Robert Koren (Hull), Craig Davies (Barnsley), Billy Sharp (Doncaster).
