Laws shakes up backroom staff

New Burnley boss Brian Laws has returned to former club Sheffield Wednesday to bolster his backroom team at Turf Moor. Head of recruitment Tim Henderson, goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer and sports scientist Tom Little have all left the Championship club to rejoin Laws in the Premier League. Laws was sacked by Wednesday in December before being unveiled as the new Clarets boss last week. Meanwhile, Remco van der Schaaf appears to have played his last game for Burnley after being allowed to rejoin Brondby on loan. The 30-year-old midfielder ended last season on loan with the Danish club and has been allowed to return on an 18-month loan. Van der Schaaf made just one appearance for Burnley following his arrival from Dutch side Vitesse in 2008.
