Burnley manager Brian Laws is keen to strengthen his squad this month, with reports suggesting Monaco striker Frederic Nimani is his main target.
The Clarets have been tipped to beat Birmingham City to the signature of the France Under-21 international, who has started only two matches for Monaco this season.
Laws remains coy about his targets though, saying: "We're doing everything in our power to bring in good players to strengthen the team as quickly as we possibly can.
"Strengthening the team is going to be paramount, there's no turning back after that window closes. There are no loans after that, it has to be done and we have to do it very quickly.
"I want to make some changes, I want to bring some new faces in to strengthen the team and to give me better options.
"Whether it be a striker, midfield player, centre-half, full-back, goalkeeper, you name it, I'm looking at everyone. And there'll be no stone left unturned."
