Published: 17 Mar 2010 - 11:22:01

Barry Kilby has spoken out about the report in today's Sun newspaper which suggested we had begun the search for a new manager with Brian Laws about to be sacked. The article, written by Neil Custis, appeared last night on the internet and was published in this morning's Sun newspaper. It was headlined 'Laws is next for the chop' and opens with 'Brian Laws is on the brink of the sack at Burnley after just 10 games in charge. Clarets chiefs believe they have made a big error in appointing Laws'.This morning, Burnley Football Club have responded via chairman Barry Kilby who has hit out very strongly at the article. "This is a ludicrous, irresponsible, damaging and inaccurate piece of journalism."We are not in the process of looking for a replacement for Brian and everyone involved with Burnley Football Club is putting every ounce of effort into staying in the Premier League."
