Laws denies fall-out rumours

Manager Brian Laws has rubbished talk of a split in the Burnley dressing room, following a dreadful run of results in recent weeks.

The Clarets are currently four points adrift of safety near the foot of the Premier League table, having won just once in 14 games since Laws took the Turf Moor helm in January.

Laws told the club's official website: "I can't influence what is going on outside this club and certainly if people want to spread rumours like that there is nothing I can do about it, other than to say there has been no bust-up whatsoever.

"We've had the problem with Kevin McDonald and dealt with that, but there is no issue with Robbie Blake or anyone else. End of story.

"There's been nothing in the dressing room to suggest there's been a fall-out.

"I am disappointed to hear it, but it doesn't surprise me because at the moment we are in a position where we are easy targets."
