Laws wants Blake to stay at Burnley

urnley manager Brian Laws has told Robbie Blake he wants him to stay at Turf Moor after the veteran forward admitted he could leave.[LNB] With the club relegated to the Championship the veteran striker expressed fears about his future.[LNB]Blake, 34, who scored a wonderful winner against Manchester United early in the campaign is out of contract in the summer.[LNB]He has been in and out of the team, making 20 starts in the league, but Laws believes he can play a major role in the second tier.[LNB]Laws said: "Robbie is a player I have great admiration for. He has been fantastic for this club. I want him to stay. That's something we have been talking about the last few weeks.[LNB]"I can understand that at his age he wants to play regular football. In the Championship he will have a major say in how we play and be a big influence around the club.[LNB]"I want him to feel wanted. We are going to be a strong side in that league, better than most.[LNB]"That's the time you need people like Robbie Blake. I feel very confident we can get him to stay."
