Laws waits on duo

Burnley boss Brian Laws is optimistic that Martin Paterson and Chris Eagles will be passed fit for the crunch home clash with Roses rivals Leeds. Striker Paterson has not played since the 1-1 draw at home to Doncaster on November 9 due to a thigh strain and will be assessed. Winger Eagles was absent from Burnley's last game against Derby a fortnight ago because of a niggling back problem but could now be passed fit. Left-back Danny Fox is still recovering from strained ankle ligaments but could possibly make his comeback at Cardiff on December 18. Laws said: "Danny is on track. He has made very good progress. We are very hopeful that he will be able to be involved in the Cardiff away game."
