Laws open to offers for `The Beast'

Burnley boss Brian Laws will listen to offers for want-away goalkeeper Brian Jensen in the transfer window and hinted that a loan move may suit all parties. Jensen has submitted a written transfer request due to a recent lack of first-team opportunities, with Lee Grant taking over the Clarets' number-one slot for the last eight games. Laws will now consider any approach on its merits but will also have to line up a replacement before sanctioning any move for the 35-year-old Dane. The former Sheffield Wednesday boss, who confirmed that Jensen will be in his squad for Sunday's Boxing Day clash at Barnsley, said: "There is only one position they are going for and with two quality goalkeepers there's always going to be a disappointment. "Patience is going to wear thin and January is coming up. Players will be looking at that thinking if I'm not playing I'd rather go out and play somewhere else. That's fair enough and we can understand that. "We have said from day-one that we have got experienced players here who have been playing week-in, week-out and those who are not in the side are going to be disappointed. One reaction is to maybe try and go out on loan or try and do something about it."
