Laws: McCann injury not serious

urnley boss Brian Laws says there is no cause for concern after Chris McCann was substituted in Tuesday's 5-0 friendly win over Gombak United.[LNB] The Irish midfielder took a blow to the knee and was taken off after half an hour in Singapore, but Laws confirmed that the move was merely a precaution.[LNB]"He has had a clash of knees and just numbed the side of his knee a little bit," the manager told Burnley's official website.[LNB]"It was a precaution to take him off because he could have come back on."[LNB]The Clarets were largely frustrated in the first half, but broke the deadlock three minutes before the break when new signing Ross Wallace capitalised on some neat interplay from Wade Elliot and Dean Marney.[LNB]Three minutes into the second period Chris Eagles collected a pass from Wallace to drive home.[LNB]Eagles, who spurned the advances of Rangers last week, crossed for Chris Iwelumo to head a third after an hour.[LNB]Steven Thompson then scored in similar fashion, with Elliot this time the provider.[LNB]Jay Rodriguez completed the scoring for Brian Laws' side with 13 minutes remaining, slotting home from the penalty spot after David Edgar was fouled.
