Burnley manager Brian Laws believes midfielder Kevin McDonald and "one or two" other fringe players could head out of Turf Moor on loan.
Laws is keen that Scotland Under-21 international McDonald gets some regular first-team football under his belt and other squad members could follow suit.
Laws said: "I think Kevin needs to get out there and get some games along with one or two others.
"We have had a couple of enquiries about one or two of our players and hopefully they will firm up next week.
"We will maybe give them the opportunity to go out on loan to get them some games and hopefully have them refreshed and ready to come back.
"We will make it a clearer picture next week when hopefully the clubs who have shown an interest make a firm offer which we will look to secure and do."
