Laws could stick with winning side

Burnley boss Brian Laws will be reluctant to make changes when his side play host to Scunthorpe. Laws steered the Clarets to their first away victory of the season in a 2-1 victory at Barnsley on Boxing Day. The Turf Moor boss dropped leading scorer Chris Iwelumo at Oakwell and deployed on-loan Manchester City striker John Guidetti alongside Jay Rodriguez. His decision was vindicated as Guidetti, 18, scored his first senior goal and is set to keep his place. Laws, who named Iwelumo, Chris Eagles and Dean Marney among his substitutes, said: "It was a big call to leave out the leading goalscorer, but sometimes you have to make decisions for the right reasons. "That was probably the strongest bench I have had this season." Left-back Danny Fox is fit again after an ankle injury but Brian Easton looks certain to retain his starting berth.
