Latvians on their way?

Speculation this afternoon suggests that manager Eddie Howe is set to bring in two Latvian defenders on trial as he continues to put his squad together for the new season. Nauris Bulvitis

Quite how he found it I don't know, but all credit to the alert Eli's poster BobLordsFridge who found the information on a Latvian web site.

The two players in question are Nauris Bulvitis and Marcis Oss with the first of them the more experienced.

Bulvitis is 25 and is currently playing his football for FK Spartaks Jūrmala who have just ended the season in 3rd place in the Latvian First League, winning promotion to the Higher League via the play offs.

He's been at his present club for a year but lists Scottish Premier League club Inverness Caledonian Thistle amongst his former clubs. He was there during the 2009/10 season on loan and played on 32 occasions for them, scoring twice.

Oss is much less known. He's just 20 and is currently playing for FK Jelgava having previously played for FK Auda and FC Limbazi.

If the report is to be believed then both players will be at Burnley for a week from Monday 23rd July which is the week before our pre-season training moves down to Bath.
