Lancashire FC - this year's charity bike ride

The fundraising bike ride from Turf Moor has become an annual event and this year's will see them visit all of Lancashire's league grounds. The Burnley cyclists are inviting fans of all the Lancashire clubs to join them on a 70 mile charity bike ride with the money raised being shared by the Rosemere Cancer Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care.It takes place on Sunday 12th June and will start at Turf Moor, calling at Accrington Stanley, Blackburn Rovers, Preston North End and Blackpool before finishing at the Globe Arena, Morecambe.There will be a fully mapped route with support vehicles, rider number, mechanic and refreshment stops and free transport will be provided for cyclists and bikes back to Turf Moor where there is free car parking.All riders will receive a free commemorative t-shirt and certificate on completion.Registration is just £15 per cyclists who are asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship which will be split between the two charities.Riders are encouraged to wear their own team colours on the day.For more details, or to register, please email CHRIS GIBSON or SCOTT KNOWLES or alternatively phone them on Chris (01282 700008) and Scott (01282 798852).
