Lambert: It`s all about the game

Norwich boss Paul Lambert has refused to be drawn on Burnley`s approach to become their new manager. The Canaries have denied their Championship rivals permission to speak to the 41-year-old Scot, who has steered the club into third place following their League One title success last season. City insisted "under no circumstances would the club wish to grant permission" and they would "fight tooth and nail to retain the services of Paul Lambert and his team". Lambert, preparing his side for Saturday`s FA Cup third-round tie with Leyton Orient at Carrow Road, told a media briefing at Colney on Friday morning: "You have seen the statement and I am happy with that. "It's all about the game tomorrow and trying to get through that. I'll say it once and once only - ask me about the game. That is all I am here for. To win a game of football. "Don't push me on anything because the statement is there."
